Zoo Boo event returns with fun alternative to Halloween

Annual family-friendly event begins Friday at the Reid Park Zoo

Attendees can enjoy trick-or-treating, animal encounters, and more

Zoo Boo returns to the Reid Park Zoo on October 21-23 and 28-30, offering a safe and fun alternative to Halloween for families.

The event features trick-or-treating throughout the zoo, with candy stations set up along the pathways.

• Children are encouraged to come in costume, and there will be a costume contest each night.

In addition to trick-or-treating, Zoo Boo also offers animal encounters, up-close views of zoo animals, and educational activities.

The event is open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night, and tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 3-11.

Zoo Boo is a popular event, so advance ticket purchase is recommended.
